Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9532 — he came to the mosque

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Mirdas (may Allah have mercy on him) that he came to the mosque of the neighbourhood after they had prayed the Fajr prayer and said to them - and that was in Ramadan -: I had relations with my wife, then sleep overcame me, so morning came and I had not taken a ritual bath; what do you say? The people said to him: In our view, your fast has been broken. He went to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) (and came back) and said to them: I went to someone better than you, or more learned, and he (Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him)) said: "Breaking the fast is only from food and drink, so complete your fast."
