Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9504 — through the companions of Sayyiduna

Abu Ishaq reports through the companions of Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he would begin the takbir at the morning prayer on the Day of Arafah and end it at the Asr prayer on the Day of Sacrifice, saying the (final) takbir when he had prayed Asr. The narrator said: And he used to say this takbir: "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, la ilaha illallah, wa Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahil-hamd (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; there is no true god but Allah; and Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; and to Allah belongs all praise)."
