حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ، أَنُبِّئْتُ أَنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ، وَحُذَيْفَةَ، أَحَدُهُمَا أَوْ كِلَاهُمَا «قَامَ قَائِمًا فَنَهَى النَّاسَ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ يَوْمَ الْعِيدِ قَبْلَ خُرُوجِ الْإِمَامِ»
Muhammad bin Sirin said: I was informed that one of Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud and Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with them both), or both of them, stood up and forbade the people from praying on the day of Eid before the imam came out.
