Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9473 — Sayyiduna Abdullah said: A man should

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: «يُصَلِّي الرَّجُلُ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ» ، فَلَقِيتُ أُبَيَّ بْنَ كَعْبٍ، فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ: «كُلُّكُمْ يَجِدُ ثَوْبَيْنِ؟ يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ»
Zirr reports that Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "A man should pray in two garments." Then I met Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) and told him about this, and he said: "Does every one of you have two garments? (Rather,) let him pray in a single garment."
