Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9456 — A man met Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud and said

The father of Salim bin Abi al-Ja'd (may Allah have mercy on him) said: A man met Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: Al-salamu alayka (peace be upon you), O Ibn Mas'ud! Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) have spoken the truth. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Among the signs of the Hour is that a man passes through the mosque without praying two rak'ahs in it, that a man greets with salam only those he knows, and that a boy sends an old man as his messenger."
