Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9441 — I heard the master of this house

Abu Amr al-Shaybani narrates: I heard the master of this house (Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him)) swearing an oath and being emphatic in his oath: "There is no place of prayer for a woman better than her house, except in (the journey of) Hajj or Umrah, except a woman who has despaired of marriage; she may (go out) in her leather socks." I asked: What is manqalayha? He said: "An old woman whose steps have become short."
