حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: سَأَلْنَا عَلْقَمَةَ: كَيْفَ كَانَتْ قِرَاءَةُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، مِنَ اللَّيْلِ - وَكَانَ يَبِيتُ عِنْدَهُ؟ قَالَ: «كَانَ يُسْمِعُ آلَ عُتْبَةَ أَخِيهِ، وَهُمْ فِي حُجْرَةٍ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ»
Ibrahim narrates: We asked Alqamah - who used to spend the night with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) - how his recitation was at night. He said: "He would make the family of his brother Utbah hear it, while they were in a room in front of him."
