Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9352 — When they are three, they should all form

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: «إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلَاثَةً فَلَيَصُفُّوا جَمِيعًا، وَإِذَا كَانُوا أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَلْيَتَقَدَّمْهُمْ أَحَدُهُمْ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "When they are three, they should all form one row; and when they are more than that, one of them should go forward ahead of them."
