Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9227 — from his father that Sayyiduna Abdullah

A man from the tribe of Tayyi' narrates from his father that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) set out for the mosque and began to walk briskly. It was said to him: Do you do this when you yourself forbid it? He said: "I was only hurrying to catch the beginning of the prayer, that is, the first takbir."
