Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9224 — When one of you washes his head

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْأَزْمَعِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: «إِذَا غَسَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ رَأْسَهُ، وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ بِالْخِطْمِيِّ، ثُمَّ اغْتَسَلَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَلْيَغْسِلْ رَأْسَهُ إِنْ شَاءَ بِالْمَاءِ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "When one of you washes his head with khitmi while in a state of major ritual impurity (junub), and then takes a ritual bath after that, he may wash his head (as well) with water if he wishes."
