حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي حُصَيْنٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، قَالَ: «كَرِهَ عَبْدُ اللهِ لِقَاضِي الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقًا وَلِصَاحِبِ مَغَانِمِهِمْ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) disliked that the judge of the Muslims and the one in charge of their spoils of war should take a salary (for that work).
