حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: {زِدْنَاهُمْ عَذَابًا فَوْقَ الْعَذَابِ} [النحل: ٨٨] ، قَالَ: «زِيدُوا عَقَارِبَ أَنْيَابُهَا كَالنَّخْلِ الطِّوَالِ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said, regarding the saying of Allah Almighty: "We will increase them in punishment upon punishment" [Surah al-Nahl: 88]: "They will be given, in addition, scorpions whose fangs are like tall palm trees."
