حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، {وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ الَّذِي آتَيْنَاهُ آيَاتِنَا} [الأعراف: ١٧٥] قَالَ: «هُوَ بَلْعَمُ وَيُقَالُ بَلْعَامُ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said, regarding the saying of Allah Almighty: "And recite to them the story of the one to whom We gave Our signs" [Surah al-A'raf: 175]: "He is Bal'am, who is also called Bal'aam."
