Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9027 — , regarding the saying of Allah Almighty

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَوَلَّوْا قَوْمًا غَضِبَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِمْ قَدْ يَئِسُوا مِنَ الْآخِرَةِ} [الممتحنة: ١٣] «فَلَا يُؤْمِنُوا بِهَا وَلَا يُؤْجَرُوا، هَذَا الْكَافِرُ إِذَا مَاتَ وَعَايَنَ ثَوَابَهُ، وَاطَّلَعَ عَلَيْهِ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said, regarding the saying of Allah Almighty: "O you who believe, do not take as allies a people with whom Allah is angry; they have despaired of the Hereafter" [Surah al-Mumtahanah: 13]: "That is, they will neither believe in it nor be rewarded. This is the disbeliever who dies and sees his recompense with his own eyes and becomes aware of it."
