Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9006 — , concerning the saying of Allah

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said, concerning the saying of Allah Almighty: "And We will surely make them taste the lesser punishment (before the greater punishment of the Hereafter)" [Surah al-Sajdah: 21]: "It is the day of Badr." And concerning "the greater punishment, that perhaps they will return" [Surah al-Sajdah: 21], he said: "That is, those of them who remain may repent and turn back."
