Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) used to seek refuge from four things, saying: "'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min ghinan yutghini, wa min faqrin yunsini, wa min hawan yurdini, wa min 'amalin yuhzinuni' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from wealth that makes me transgress, from poverty that makes me forget (You), from desire that ruins me, and from a deed that grieves me)."
