حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ خُلَيْدَةَ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ، وَقَدْ نَصَبَ مَتَاعًا فِي بَيْتِهِ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: «اسْتَخْفِ مِنْ شُوَارِ بَيْتِكَ فَإِنَّ النَّاسَ يُوشِكُوا أَنْ يَكُونُوا أَهْلَ قَتَبٍ»
Muhammad bin Zayd bin Khulaydah narrated that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) came to visit him, and he had set out furnishings in his house. Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Keep the furnishings of your house light (few), for soon people will become people of the camel-saddle (that is, people on the move)."
