حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثنا مُعْتَمِرٌ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عِيسَى بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ، يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ: سَمِعَ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: " أَرْبَعٌ قَدْ فُرِغَ مِنْهُنَّ: مِنَ الْخَلْقِ، وَالْخُلُقِ، وَالرِّزْقِ، وَالْأَجَلِ، لَيْسَ أَحَدُنَا كَسْبٌ عَنْ أَحَدٍ "
وَقَالَ: «الصَّدَقَةُ جَائِزَةٌ قُبِضَتْ أَوْ لَمْ تَقْبَضْ»
وَقَالَ: «الصَّدَقَةُ جَائِزَةٌ قُبِضَتْ أَوْ لَمْ تَقْبَضْ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Four things have been settled: creation, character, provision, and the appointed time of death. None of us earns (more) in place of another (that is, provision is fixed for each person)."
And he said: "Charity takes effect, whether it has been taken into possession or not."
