Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8911 — Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud went out

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، أَوْ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ خَرَجَ إِلَى صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ، وَقَدْ أَضَافَ قَوْمٌ ظُهُورَهُمْ إِلَى قِبْلَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ، فَقَالَ: «أَخِّرُوا هَكَذَا عَنْ وُجُوهِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) went out for the Fajr prayer and saw that some people had turned their backs towards the qiblah of the mosque, so he said: "Move back like this, away from the faces of the angels."
