أسعد بن زرارة الأنصاري من بني النجار " ويكنى أبا أمامة، توفي على عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في سنة إحدى من الهجرة "
As'ad bin Zurarah al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), of Banu al-Najjar: his kunyah was Abu Umamah, and he died in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the first year after the Hijrah
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 891 — Sayyiduna As'ad bin Zurarah was one
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ زَمْعَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ «أَنَّ أَسْعَدَ بْنَ زُرَارَةَ كَانَ أَحَدَ النُّقَبَاءِ لَيْلَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ»
Abu Umamah bin Sahl bin Hunayf said: "Sayyiduna As'ad bin Zurarah (may Allah be pleased with him) was one of the leaders (nuqaba') on the night of al-Aqabah."
