Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8880 — Souls are like troops gathered in ranks

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: «الْأَرْوَاحُ جُنُودٌ مُجَنَّدَةٌ، فَمَا تَعَارَفَ مِنْهَا ائْتَلَفَ، وَمَا تَنَاكَرَ مِنْهَا اخْتَلَفَ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Souls are like troops gathered in ranks: those that are familiar with one another come together, and those that find one another strange differ from one another."
