حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: «مَوْتُ الْفَجْأَةِ تَخْفِيفٌ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِ، وَأَسَفٌ عَلَى الْكَافِرِ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Sudden death is a relief for the believer, and a cause of regret and sorrow for the disbeliever."
