حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: «مَا رَأَيْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ إِلَّا وَيُخَيَّلُ إِلَيَّ أَنَّ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ مَلَكًا يُسَدِّدُهُ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Whenever I saw Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), I imagined that there was an angel between his eyes keeping him on the right path."
