Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8735 — In the Days of Ignorance we used to call

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "In the Days of Ignorance we used to call a person an 'imma'ah' who, when a man was invited to a meal, would follow him along; and in the present age it is the one who carries his religion along behind people. And we used to call magic 'adah', and in the present age it is idle gossip (qil wa qal)."
