Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8730 — One day people asked Sayyiduna Abdullah

The narrator said: One day people asked Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) a great many questions, so he said to al-Harith bin Qays: "O Harith bin Qays, what do you think these people want by what they are asking about?" He said: So that they may learn it and then leave it. He said: "You have spoken the truth, by the One besides whom there is no deity."
