Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8710 — We used to recite the Qur'an to Abu Abd

Ata bin al-Sa'ib (may Allah have mercy on him) said: We used to recite the Qur'an to Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami (may Allah have mercy on him) while he was walking. When we passed a verse of prostration, he would say the takbir and we would say the takbir, and he would prostrate by gesture and we would prostrate by gesture. Then he would raise his head and say: As-salamu alaykum, and we would say: Wa alaykum as-salam. Abu Abd al-Rahman stated that Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to do the same with them.
