Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8668 — The first thing you will lose of your

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The first thing you will lose of your religion is trustworthiness (amanah), and the last thing of your religion to remain is the prayer; and people will pray who have no religion; and the Qur'an will surely be taken away from among you." The people said: O Abu Abd al-Rahman, will we not be reciting the Qur'an when we have written it down in our Mushafs? He said: "The Qur'an will be taken away by night, and it will be taken from the breasts of men, and then nothing of it will remain on the earth."
