حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، قَالَ: ثنا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: «تَعَاهَدُوا الْمَصَاحِفَ، فَلَهُوَ أَشَدُّ تَفَصِّيًا مِنَ صُدُورِ الرِّجَالِ مِنَ النَّعَمِ مِنْ عُقُلِهَا»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Keep up the constant care of the Qur'an, for it escapes from people's breasts even faster than livestock break loose from their tethers and run off."
