Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8632 — Whoever wants the good of the earlier

حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، أَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُرَّةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: «مَنْ أَرَادَ خَيْرَ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالْآخِرِينَ فَلْيُثَوِّرِ الْقُرْآنَ، فَإِنَّ فِيهِ خَيْرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالْآخِرِينَ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Whoever wants the good of the earlier and the later generations, let him search the Qur'an thoroughly, for in it is the good of the earlier and the later generations."
