حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، مَرَّ بِرَجُلٍ يُذَكِّرُ قَوْمًا، فَقَالَ: «يَا مُذَّكِرُ لَا تُقَنِّطِ النَّاسَ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by a man who was admonishing some people, and he said: "O admonisher, do not make the people despair of Allah's mercy."
