Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8583 — I sat in the gathering of Sayyiduna

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، عَنْ شَبَّةَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، قَالَ: جَلَسْتُ إِلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ سَنَةً، فَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ يَوْمًا: «قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ» ثُمَّ تَغَيَّرَ وَجْهُهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «نَحْوَ هَذَا، أَوْ فَوْقَ هَذَا، أَوْ دُونَ هَذَا»
Amr bin Maymun said: I sat in the gathering of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) for a year, and I did not hear him narrate from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then one day he said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said," then his face changed, then he said: "Like this, or a little more than this, or a little less than this."
