حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الدِّرْهَمِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: «مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَلْقَى اللهَ غَدًا مُسْلِمًا فَلْيُحَافِظْ عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسِ حِينَ يُنَادَى بِهِنَّ، فَإِنَّ اللهَ شَرَعَ لِنَبِيِّكُمْ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُنَنَ الْهُدَى، وَإِنَّهُنَّ مِنْ سُنَنِ الْهُدَى، وَلِكُلِّ رَجُلٍ مِنْكُمْ مَسْجِدٌ فِي بَيْتِهِ وَلَوْ تَرَكْتُمْ مَسَاجِدَكُمْ تَرَكْتُمْ سُنَّةَ نَبِيِّكُمْ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَلَوْ تَرَكْتُمْ سُنَّةَ نَبِيِّكُمْ لَضَلَلْتُمْ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Whoever would be pleased to meet Allah tomorrow as a Muslim, let him guard these five prayers at the time the call (adhan) is made for them, for Allah has prescribed for your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) these very ways of guidance, and they are among the ways of guidance. Each one of you has a place of prayer in his house, and if you abandon your (actual) mosques, you will abandon the Sunnah of your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and if you abandon the Sunnah of your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), you will go astray."
