Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8501 — Each one of you is a guest and a loan

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ مُزَاحِمٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ: «مَا مِنْكُمْ إِلَّا ضَيْفٌ وَعَارِيَةٌ، وَالضَّيْفُ مُرْتَحِلٌ، وَالْعَارِيَةُ مُؤَدَّاةٌ إِلَى أَهْلِهَا»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: "Each one of you is a guest and a loan; the guest is departing, and the loan is to be returned to its owners."
