Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8496 — The wretched one is he who was written

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثنا كُلْثُومُ بْنُ جَبْرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الطُّفَيْلِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: «الشَّقِيُّ مَنْ شَقِيَ فِي بَطْنِ أُمِّهِ وَالسَّعِيدُ مَنْ وُعِظَ بِغَيْرِهِ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The wretched one is he who was written as wretched in his mother's womb, and the fortunate one is he who takes admonition from others."
