Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8435 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered me

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، ثنا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: " أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنِ اقْرَأَ عَلَيْهِ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ، فَقَرَأْتُ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةَ النِّسَاءِ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغْتُ: {فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ بِشَهِيدٍ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ شَهِيدًا} [النساء: ٤١] غَمَزَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ وَعَيْنَاهُ تَدْمَعَانِ تَدْمَعَانِ "
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me to recite to him (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was on the pulpit. So I recited Surah al-Nisa' to him (peace and blessings be upon him) until, when I reached this verse: 'So how will it be when We bring from every nation a witness, and bring you as a witness over these?' [Surah al-Nisa': 41], the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) signalled to me. I looked at him (peace and blessings be upon him), and tears were flowing from his (peace and blessings be upon him) eyes."
