حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، سَمِعَهُ مِنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ، سَمِعَهُ مِنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ أَبِي الْعَاصِ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أُمَّ قَوْمَكَ، وَاقْدِرْهُمْ بِأَضْعَفِهِمْ فَإِنَّ فِيهِمُ الْكَبِيرَ، وَالضَّعِيفَ، وَذَا الْحَاجَةِ»
Sayyiduna Uthman bin Abi al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Lead your people in prayer, and measure them by the weakest of them, for among them are the elderly, the weak and those with needs."
