حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، ثنا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ طُفَيْلُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، وَآخَرَ إِلَى دَوْسٍ، فَجَاءَا، فَقَالَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يُهْلِكَ دَوْسًا، فَقَالَ: «اللهُمَّ اهْدِ دَوْسًا، وَائْتِ بِهِمْ»
It is narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Tufayl bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) and another man to Daws. The two of them came back and said: "O Messenger of Allah, pray that Allah destroys Daws." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah, guide Daws and bring them."
