حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْخَبَائِرِيُّ، ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ ضَمُرَةَ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ الْبَهْزِيِّ، صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهُ «كَانَ يَحْمِلُ فِي مُعْسَكَرِ الْعَدُوِّ حَتَّى يَخْرِقَ الصَّفَّ، ثُمَّ يَعُودُ حَتَّى يَقِفَ مَوْضِعَهُ»
It is related about Sayyiduna Damrah bin Tha'labah al-Bahzi (may Allah be pleased with him), a Companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), that he would charge into the camp of the enemy until he tore through the ranks, then come back and stand in his place.
