Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8090 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: There

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْعَنْقَزِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّلْتِ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ صُهْبَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا نِكَاحَ إِلَّا بِوَلِيٍّ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no marriage without a guardian (wali)."
