Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8054 — the Prophet ﷺ said: On Friday the angels

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، عَنْ مُبَارَكِ بْنِ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَيَقُومُونَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى أَبْوَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ مَعَهُمِ الصُّحُفُ، يَكْتُبُونَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى إِذَا خَرَجَ الْإِمَامُ طُوِيَتِ الصُّحُفُ» . فَقُلْتُ: لَيْسَ لِمَنْ خَرَجَ بَعْدَ الْإِمَامِ جُمُعَةٌ؟ فَقَالَ: «بَلَى، وَلَكِنَّهُ لَيْسَ فِيمَا فِي الصُّحُفِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On Friday the angels stand at the doors of the mosque with registers, writing down the names of the people who come, until when the imam comes out, the registers are rolled up." I said: Is there no Jumu'ah for one who comes after the imam has come out? He said: "Certainly there is, but he will not be included in the merit that is recorded in the registers."
