Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8019 — I was in Syria, and Sayyiduna Abu Umamah
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْإِصْطَخْرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ مَخْلَدٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ الْإِصْطَخْرِيُّ، ثنا عِصْمَةُ بْنُ الْمُتَوَكِّلِ الْإِصْطَخْرِيُّ، ثنا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ قَالَ: كُنْتُ بِالشَّامِ، وَبِهَا أَبُو أُمَامَةَ صُدَيُّ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ صَاحِبُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَ لِي صَدِيقًا، فَجِيءَ بِرُءُوسِ الْحَرُورِيَّةِ، فَذَكَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ
Abu Ghalib narrates: I was in Syria, and Sayyiduna Abu Umamah Sudayy bin Ajlan (may Allah be pleased with him), the Companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), was also there, and he was my friend. Then the heads of the Khawarij were brought, and he narrated a hadith similar to this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
