Abu Muslim said: I went in to Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was in the mosque removing lice (from his clothes) and burying them in the pebbles. I said: O Abu Umamah, a man told me about you that you heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever performs ablution and performs it thoroughly, washes his hands and his face, wipes over his head and his ears, then stands for an obligatory prayer, Allah forgives him on that day whatever his feet walked towards, whatever his hands took hold of, whatever his ears listened to, whatever his eyes looked at, and whatever evil his heart thought of." He said: "By Allah, I have heard it from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) more times than I can count."
