يحيى بن أيوب المصري، عن عبيد الله بن زحر، عن علي بن يزيد، عن القاسم، عن أبي أمامة الباهلي
Yahya bin Ayyub al-Misri from Ubaydullah bin Zahr from Ali bin Yazid from al-Qasim from Abu Umamah al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7804 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: My Lord

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، أنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَحْرٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " عَرَضَ عَلَيَّ رَبِّي لِيَجْعَلَ لِي بَطْحَاءَ مَكَّةَ ذَهَبًا، فَقُلْتُ: لَا، يَا رَبِّ، وَلَكِنْ أَشْبَعُ يَوْمًا وَأَجُوعُ ثَلَاثًا، وَإِذَا جُعْتُ تَضَرَّعْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَذَكَرْتُكَ، وَإِذَا شَبِعْتُ حَمِدْتُكَ وَشَكَرْتُكَ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "My Lord offered to turn the valley of Makkah into gold for me, but I said: No, O my Lord. Rather, let me be full one day and hungry three days; when I am hungry I will humble myself before You and remember You, and when I am full I will praise You and thank You."
