يحيى بن أيوب المصري، عن عبيد الله بن زحر، عن علي بن يزيد، عن القاسم، عن أبي أمامة الباهلي
Yahya bin Ayyub al-Misri from Ubaydullah bin Zahr from Ali bin Yazid from al-Qasim from Abu Umamah al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7802 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Indeed

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، أنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَحْرٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَقُولُ: مَا يَزَالُ عَبْدِي يَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَيَّ بِالنَّوَافِلِ حَتَّى أُحِبَّهُ، فَأَكُونَ أَنَا سَمْعَهُ الَّذِي يَسْمَعُ بِهِ، وَبَصَرَهُ الَّذِي يُبْصِرُ بِهِ، وَلِسَانَهُ الَّذِي يَنْطِقُ بِهِ، وَقَلْبَهُ الَّذِي يَعْقِلُ بِهِ، فَإِذَا دَعَا أَجَبْتُهُ، وَإِذَا سَأَلَنِي أَعْطَيْتُهُ، وَإِذَا اسْتَنْصَرَنِي نَصَرْتُهُ، وَأَحَبُّ مَا تَعَبَّدَ لِي عَبْدِي بِهِ النُّصْحُ لِي "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says: My servant continues to draw near to Me through voluntary deeds until I love him. Then I become his hearing with which he hears, his sight with which he sees, his tongue with which he speaks, and his heart with which he understands. Then, when he calls upon Me, I answer him; when he asks of Me, I give him; and when he seeks My help, I help him. And the most beloved worship with which My servant worships Me is sincerity towards Me."
