Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7743 — the Prophet ﷺ forbade selling shares

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، وَالْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ يُبَاعَ السِّهَامُ حَتَّى يُقْسَمَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling shares (of the spoils of war) before they are distributed.
