al-Qasim bin Abd al-Rahman bin Yazid al-Shami, the freed slave of Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), known as Abu Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) — Yahya bin al-Harith al-Dhimari from al-Qasim

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْخَبَائِرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ: " إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، يَقُولُ: يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ، ارْكَعْ لِي أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ مِنْ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ أَكْفِكَ آخِرَهُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says: 'O son of Adam, pray four rak'ahs for Me at the beginning of the day, and I will suffice you for the rest of it.'"
