حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ السَّمَيْدَعِ الْأَنْطَاكِيُّ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ النَّصِيبِيُّ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْخَبَائِرِيُّ، ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ: «إِنَّ الَّذِي يَجْهَرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ كَالَّذِي يَجْهَرُ بِالصَّدَقَةِ، وَالَّذِي يُسِرُّ بِالْقُرْآنِ كَالَّذِي يُسِرُّ بِالصَّدَقَةِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one who recites the Qur'an aloud is like the one who gives charity openly, and the one who recites the Qur'an quietly is like the one who gives charity secretly."
