Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7689 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ خَلَفٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَمْزَةَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي مَالِكٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ يَقُولُ: «مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَلِي أَمْرَ عَشَرَةٍ فَمَا فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ إِلَّا أُتِيَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَغْلُولًا يَدُهُ إِلَى عُنُقِهِ، فَكَّهُ بِرُّهُ، أَوْ أَوْثَقَهُ إِثْمُهُ، أَوَّلُهَا مَلَامَةٌ، وَأَوْسَطُهَا نَدَامَةٌ، وَآخِرُهَا عَذَابُ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ»
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "There is no Muslim who is in charge of the affairs of ten or more people except that he will be brought on the Day of Resurrection with his hand chained to his neck; his righteousness will set him free, or his sin will bind him further. Its (this responsibility's) beginning is blame, its middle is regret, and its end is punishment on the Day of Resurrection."
