عبد الأعلى بن هلال السلمي، عن أبي أمامة
Abd al-Ala bin Hilal al-Sulami from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7605 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying
حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْحِمْصِيُّ، ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَارَةُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى بْنِ هِلَالٍ السُّلَمِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ يَقُولُ: «مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَمُوتُ يَوْمَ يَمُوتُ، فَيَتْرُكُ أَصْفَرَ وَأَبْيَضَ إِلَّا كُوِيَ بِهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Any servant who dies in this world and leaves behind gold and silver (that he hoarded) will be branded with it."
