Sayyiduna Sudayy bin Ajlan Abu Umamah al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came during the Farewell Hajj riding a she-camel, until he stood in the midst of the people on the day of Arafah and said: "What day is this?" The people said: The day of Arafah, the sacred day. He said: "Which month is this?" They said: In the sacred month. He said: "Which city is this?" They said: The sacred city. He said: "Then indeed your wealth, your honour and your blood are sacred to you, just as this day of yours is sacred, in this month of yours, in this city of yours. Behold! Every prophet has already used his (accepted) supplication, except my supplication, for I have stored it with my Lord until the Day of Resurrection. To proceed: the prophets will take pride in the great numbers (of their nations), so do not disgrace me, for I will be sitting for you at the Pond (al-Hawd)."
